Senior MEN’s Football
The Senior Men’s team represents the highest level of football at The Waves Eagles and continues a proud tradition of senior AFL in Bundaberg.
This program is suited to players ready to commit to training, team standards and strong club involvement. Senior players are expected to lead by example, support the wider club community and represent The Waves Eagles with pride.
The team has a strong history of success, with senior premierships in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020.

Reserves Football
The Reserves team supports player development, match fitness and senior football depth at The Waves Eagles.
Reserves football gives players the opportunity to build confidence, gain game experience, return to football and work toward senior selection.
For some players, it is about competition and progression. For others, it is about staying involved, enjoying team culture and contributing to the club.
Player Pathways and development
The Waves Eagles support player development from junior and youth football through to the Senior Women’s team. This pathway helps young women build confidence, improve their football knowledge and stay connected to the game as they move into senior competition.

Senior Men’s Coaches

Snr Mens Coach
Shaun Stone
Stoney is a highly experienced senior coach and is widely respected within the AFL community in Queensland. As a premiership coach, he brings leadership, high standards, and a strong focus on guiding our young senior side toward success.

Snr Mens Asst. Coach
Klint Wagstaff
Klint is a long-term member of our Senior Men’s side and brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the club. Following his 2025 All Australian selection in the AFL Masters competition, Klint continues to be a valuable leader within the Eagles program.

Reserves Coach
Jon-Paul Brady
JP returns to the club in 2026 after a couple of years away. A former youth and senior player with the Eagles, and previous Under 17s coach, JP is a valued leader who brings strong club knowledge, experience, and connection to the reserves program.

Reserves Asst. Coach
Jeremy Hayhoe
Jeremy is a long-time Eagles member and supporter, returning to the club after a year away. A former Vice President, senior player, reserves premiership captain, and junior and reserves coach, Jeremy brings football experience from Victoria, South Australia, and Queensland.
